Happiness is a Spaceman Victory!

In another late inning feat of heroics, the Houston Astros came back in 11 to win 6-5 over the AL Central division leading, Chicago White Sox. Between the solid pitching, and even more than solid offense on display, the boys of H-Town had themselves quite the night last night. And at the forefront of the win was....

....you guessed it! Your people's champion and mine, Evan Gattis! Fresh off his stint down with the AA Corpus Christi squad, El Oso Blanco had a 2 for 4 night with a lead off single in the 2nd inning, as well as THIS laser shot in the top of the 11th to score himself and George Springer. To say the least, it was another example of poetry in motion!

Add to that, the stellar offensive performance by the likes of Blanco Grande (The Great White, Tyler White!), who launched not one solo shot, but two for Tuesday. You can catch a look at the shark in action here and here.

It has become all too clear that when the bear and the shark combine their hitting forces together, they are untouchable. I think a gif such as this describes those two perfectly:

All in all, it was a tremendous night for the team and the fan base all around. And hearing the players talk about the win after the game was even more of a joy. Not to mention, this pic of the celebration after the home run, which is sheer brilliance! Almost as if Evan is throwing up the victory champ arms, which he pretty much always deserves to do!

The excitement is brewing for a win streak to come ahead of another home stand this coming Friday, where the Astros will start 3 against the in-state rival Texas Rangers, and then 3 against the AL East division leading, Baltimore Orioles before heading to Anaheim to face the Angels for the first time this season. But first, two more with the South Side Sox!

Oh, and Evan will make his debut behind the dish this Thursday to boot! I feel it coming on, H-Town! How about you?!

These two should ALWAYS be in the Astros Lineup!!!!
