Spring Is Being Kind to the White Bear (As We All Should Be!)
A breath of fresh air came into my morning routine when I awoke to see the following stats on Evan Gattis for the 2015 Houston Astros Spring Training to date:
Games Played: 3
Plate Appearances: 10
At-Bats: 8
Hits: 3
Doubles: 1
RBI's: 2
Walks: *2 (For those that criticized how he never takes walks!)
Strikeouts: 1 (For those that criticized his lack of contact hitting. He is proving you doubters wrong by this!)
Batting Average: .375*
On-Base Percentage: .500* (For those that have criticized his supposed "poor base skills." He now has 4 total bases to his name in ST as well.)
Slugging Percentage: .500* (As if there was any doubt!)
OPS: 1.000*
What's that I hear from the critics? Wow, it sounds like crickets chirping. Could that be maybe because there is practically nothing else you can overly criticize Evan about? Hold on a second....
Brad @bradnarok
@bradnarok No fair, man.

Will Ferrell is basically Evan Gattis in left field.

@bradnarok slightly more mobility.
See people, he's got his bear claw (Glove) out and ready to scoop up that ball! He's gonna get there in left field, just give him a chance and some time. Let him get comfortable at his own pace. Like always, Evan will end up surprising everyone! |
