MLB Trade Rumors: Braves pushing Evan Gattis hard at GM meetings, per report

Brian Garfinkel
The New York Post's Joel Sherman reports that the Atlanta Braves are aggressively shopping catcher Evan Gattis at the GM Meetings.
The GM Meetings got underway this morning and the Atlanta Braves are pushing catcher Evan Gattis hard according to the New York Post's Joel Sherman.
Word is pushing Gattis hard. AL teams interested since he could DH and play the field more sparingly
Fox Sports' baseball writer Ken Rosenthal also confirms Sherman's report.
Can confirm report by @JoelSherman1 that ’ Gattis is being pushed aggressively.
Several American League teams have shown interest according to Sherman which makes sense given that he could DH and limit his time in the field. Gattis' bat and contract status make him an appealing target. He finished the season hitting .263 with 22 home runs in 108 games.
Moving Gattis would clear the way for Christian Bethancourt to become the team's full-time catcher. Bethancourt is an upgrade defensively but the move would also take a potent offensive weapon out of a lineup that struggled at times this season to score runs.

Scratch that, I have plenty of words! Say goodbye to any postseason contention any time soon, Atlanta Braves. Looks like I may be looking to root for another team next year.
